About
PALVILLA is a premium home editorial and buying-intelligence publication. We help you choose kitchen, furniture, garden and outdoor, décor and lighting products with clarity, and we are not a store.
PALVILLA began with a simple frustration. Buying for a home should be one of life’s pleasures, yet most advice online is either beautiful and empty, or useful and joyless. Our founder, Al Sabri, has always been drawn to the artistic side of a home: proportion, texture, materials that age well. He wanted a publication that respected both the beauty of a room and the practical truth about what is worth buying.
PALVILLA is that publication. Every guide is built on manufacturer documents, real owner experience and plain-spoken trade-offs, presented with the care a beautiful home deserves.
Who is behind PALVILLA
Founder & Editor · Des Plaines, Illinois
Al Sabri founded PALVILLA out of a lifelong love of homes and the artistry behind them: the line of a well-made sofa, the warmth of a brass fixture, the way good light changes a room. Based in Des Plaines, Illinois, he leads PALVILLA’s editorial direction and reviews our guides, pairing an eye for beauty with honest, research-based advice so readers can choose pieces they will still love years from now.
A home is a long-term decision made one purchase at a time. PALVILLA exists to make each of those decisions calmer and better informed: what a product is, who it suits, what it costs to own, and what you should know before you buy.
Five permanent areas of the home: Kitchen, Furniture, Garden & Outdoor, Décor and Lighting. We start narrow and deep, building a small number of strong guides before we grow.
We do not sell products, take orders or ship anything. Where we point you to a retailer, it is a place to buy, verified before it appears, never a PALVILLA store.
PALVILLA earns commissions from some retailer links, including as an Amazon Associate. Commercial relationships never decide our conclusions, rankings or recommendations. Read our Affiliate Disclosure.
Every PALVILLA guide shows how it was researched, names the trade-offs as plainly as the strengths, and is updated when products or evidence change. If we ever get something wrong, we will correct it openly on our Corrections page.
We use Google Analytics to understand which guides help readers most. It is off unless you allow it. Cookie settings
